Luck of the Draw, DiverseWorks’ famed fundraising event, returns on Friday, May 17, 2024 at the MATCH. This year, the theme is Ecosystem – reflecting DiverseWorks’ commitment to our forthcoming Climate Action Plan and the exhibition and performance series, River on Fire, opening this fall.

River on Fire is a multidisciplinary exhibition and performance project curated by DW’s Curator Ashley DeHoyos Sauder that explores the conversations related to the impacts and effects of the climate crisis and human reliance on fossil fuels in Houston and the Gulf South region.

Founded by artists in 1982, DiverseWorks is a force that continues to shape contemporary art practice in Houston and across the nation.
